Ann O'Hara has 25 years experience as an attorney focusing on energy law since 1988. She gained the majority of her energy experience as senior counsel for Aquila Energy Corporation in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1995, O'Hara began her own law practice and currently practices natural gas transactional law with an emphasis on over the counter derivative documentation.

In addition to her legal practice, O'Hara is a frequent lecturer on energy risk management issues. She has presented seminars and workshops throughout the United States and Canada on such topics as Commodity Derivatives-the Basics, Derivatives Documentation from A to Z, Gas Contracts from A to Z and her most recent-Financial Contracts: Front, Middle and Back Office. In 2000, PennWell Publishing Company published O'Hara's first book "A Practical Guide to Gas Contracting". She is currently working on "Energy Derivatives Documentation Made Easy", which will be available through this website soon.

She is a 1981 graduate of the University Of Nebraska College Of Law, and a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Houston Energy Association, the International Energy Credit Association and the National Petroleum Energy Credit Association.
